" I pray you all are doing well! I wanted to send you some pics I took of Soldiers helping me with boxes and some I took out to units in the field. It brought a lot of smiles to the faces of the Soldiers.

One thing we can always use is Breakfast bars, beef jerky, and for some reason peanut butter in the plastic jars goes fast. However, I am thankful for anything you send. We have units coming back in, so I know they will hit it hard."

The Chaplain contacted the Pease Greeters for assistance in January. The Pease Greeters have mailed 14 care packages to his attention so far. Including 4 boxes of knit hats.

Pease Greeters! I just wanna let you know how special and amazing you guys really are! You bring so much joy and love to all the troops every time we land in PSM. I heard you guys are not allowed to do that anymore. I don’t know if it’s true or not? I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been inspired by your love, hard work, dedication, and honor culture.I just wanna say good job and God bless you guys for everything you do! Keep shining and being you!!

We have less physical items to give our Troops, DOD and Contractors but we still have lots of handshakes, thank you’s, hugs, conversations along with our Love, Honor and Respect to provide to our Troops flying through PSM. Thank you for the shout out! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

You guys shocked me on this trip, wasn't expecting it at all and it was awesome to be able to speak to so many of you. Pls don't stop. Thank you for all you do!

Hello, I wanted to thank you for your wonderful program. My grandson was welcomed by you last Monday, when he returned from Afghanistan after working there for 2 years. He could not say enough about how wonderful your welcome and how good it made him feel.

JoAnne Schottler, thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and talented young author(Jaydn Stevens)with me. Jadyn’s book “Sergeant Major Dad” was a great read and a great ending to my day.

SGM Stevens, having a daughter such as yourself, I completely understand and am enamored with the relationship shared between a Father and Daughter.

Jadyn, on behalf of all of the servicemen and women who have deployed in support of this great nation, we appreciate the love and support provided by our families in the most challenging times. “Keep writing, you have that magic touch”.

Yours Truly,

Major Will B.

-LTC Kathleen mailed us from Kuwait:

There are not enough ways to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the two care packages. I wish I could have taken photos of the very happy faces of soldiers who were excited to receive and share in the goodies from the box. I must say there were “dealings” to win the Oreo cookies, which were very popular.

Also, the cards and notes with the special messages made everyone feel warm hearted. We placed the cards on refrigerators and billboards to help encourage others and show the support from the many wonderful people back in NH. We plan to include them in our End of Year book.

We always welcome more goodies — the items went so fast!! Thank you for your efforts and to all who contributed. We are so grateful for your generosity.

-Subject: Thank you

Thank you and your team so much for the warm welcome for my unit and me as we flew through NH tonight. You provided such heartfelt greetings to so many of us who just left our families for an extended stay overseas and it truly means a lot. The service you provide can’t be quantified.

Thank you.

How did you know that Twizzlers and Swedish fish are both in my top 5 candy snacks!?

I remember going to the corner store when I was a kid and buying those little fish for a penny each! :o)

And the timing was perfect 'cuz yesterday was my 51st birthday! :o) I have shared all your goodies with the Soldiers here and passed out the cards and letters as well.

It was funny how some of the notes were very fitting. For example, one of the notes said "Sempre Fi" on it, so I gave it to a Corporal here who used to be in the Marine Corps (now Army).

Another kid said he loves to draw Miami sports stuff so I gave that letter to a Soldier here who posted a huge Univ. of Miami flag outside our building. :o) He is a BIG Miami fan.

So, again, I want to thank y'all very much for your kindness and generosity.

I am one of the many benefactors of your kindness and wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Any way you cut and slice it, being deployed away from family is tough. I have three children at home and when we open your packages and see the pictures and homemade cards, I always think of my children. The items you provide and the kindness you demonstrate are wonderful reminders of the great nation we love and serve and why we do it. My Father-In-Law is a Vietnam Veteran and sadly lamented to me once that I was only one of two people outside his immediate family who had ever thanked him for his service. Conversely, it is touching to me that you go to such great lengths to demonstrate kindness and appreciation to those out here who serve.

God Bless You, Carrol L.

Hello! My husband and I donated money to your incredible organization in Feb. after our son passed through on his way to Afghanistan. As a military family we are so grateful to you all! Every year our family has an Xmas party and pick a charity to donate to. Would you be in need of new stuffed animals in December? If so who would I send them to? We are located in Southern NJ. It’s important for us to involve our younger generation of children and felt they could really get involved with the stuff animals.

Thanks for all you do! We are waiting for our son’s return in January.

I want to first extend a HUGE thank you to your group for the incredibly welcoming and caring greeting and send-off that my daughter experienced on 6-23-19.

This is her first trip across the ocean and, in a time when many don't understand the need for these trips, the support you all showed was a much needed morale boost! She will carry your smiles, your words, your thoughts, and her star with her as talismans, not just on this journey, but for life

Thank you all for making her one of your daughters on that day!

Thank you.

My son comes from a long line of Military heroes. You greeted him and his unit as they came back from Iraq today. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

When my Dad came home from Vietnam the response was quit the opposite.....again, Thank you!

Thanks for caring! What a wonderful gift you give to so many heroes coming home!

Can’t wait to hug my boy soon and see him reunited with his wife and my granddaughters.

God Bless you and God Bless America!

Love, Honor, Respect

They're here by day, they're here by night.

To show RESPECT. They feel it's right.

To greet those who claim no reward

sometimes at costs we can't afford.

With LOVE they offer food and gifts

Most anything that gives a lift

to fathers, mothers, sisters, sons.

To Honor all, Pease Greeters come.

They wave huge flags at leaving planes

A last farewell - 'til none remains.

Then home to life, that flight's complete;

until the call again to meet.

They sleep on chairs, or snooze in cars.

"A flight's been added!" "Don't got far."

They know the price of freedom's dear.

Perhaps that's part of why they're here.

Our son returned safely home from Afghanistan today. It was his seventh deployment but his first passing through the Portsmouth airport. We appreciate the Pease Greeters recognition of our troops and the sacrifices they make. He returned home today to his parents, siblings, wife and SIX young children. The first thing he showed his children was the star he received from you. He was deeply touched by your members sacrifice to greet each flight. He felt honored.

We are grateful for your love and continued support for our military.

I want to thank you for your support to our troops overseas, I did received a care package that has been prepared by you. So I want to say thanks for taking your times and efforts to send it in my way and other soldiers too.

I just wanted to say thank ya'll so much for the care packages!!! It really felt like Christmas going through the packages. I shared both the boxes I received with my section and I can say we are all anticipating the next ones. These things mean the world to us and these boxes make life over here just a little bit easier!!! We hung up all the kids letters and pictures in our living areas. Its our daily motivation for us when we feel like quitting or giving up on ourselves. It helps us push just a little bit harder with these reminders of why we are here and who we are doing it for. Thank Yall So Very Much!!!

Thank you so much for the two care packages!

The box of goodies are great -- we are enjoying the snacks. Brings a little piece of home to us in AFG...

The box of personnel care items -- these items are always great and we use them as we try on our different missions. They are also great to have as our BX/PX does not always carry these items!!

Again, thank you so much for all that you do to support the troops...You are truly amazing...

Hello , What a wonderful day we've had! 5-3-18

Your directions were great. . .we had no trouble finding our way. . .Pease reminded me of Manchester Airport way back when you could park in front of the building and walk right in!

Mr. D and John were wonderful to Gary & I and my sister that joined us . .showed us all around and told us everything we needed to know. . ..everyone we met was friendly and kind. It was amazing to shake hands with so many soldiers coming thru NH, believe I heard 170ish! . .every one of them had a smile on their face and thanked us for being there for them. And, of course the highlight was to see our son, Geoff, and spend some time with him. I even was honored to 'wear the sweatshirt' that was presented to the Commander (?)of the returning group! John gave Gary one of the Stars from an American Flag as they chatted away and he learned that he was a Navy Vet. Gary really appreciated that

So. . .many thanks to you and the greeters for all that you do for our military folk and for making us feel welcomed and part of this fabulous homecoming for our men and women.

Blessings to you and the Pease Greeters, Gary & Gail

Good evening, My name is Tayrin R. and my husband SFC R. was on a flight yesterday 4/27/18 he sent me a picture of your card so I might request these pics and video as I am documenting this deployment from start to finish. Thank you and all of the peace greeters for what you do in showing support and love to our soldiers. As a proud military wife there are not enough words to thank you. To me, my husband is a hero and he told me yesterday him and his flight group received a true Hero's welcome. Thank you so much and God bless you all for what you do. Sincerely, Tayrin R.

I was there at Pease yesterday to see my daughter, Danielle , off for her final deployment to AFG. 4-27-18 It was one of my most memorable events because of all of the Pease Greeters. I appreciated the fact that you took the time to incorporate me into the program which was totally unexpected but I was very proud to do my small part.

I hope that I will be able to come out again to see our brave men and women off and to cheer when they come back. Again, thank you! Kathy B.

First off I would like to say tank you very much. It really means a lot to all of us that leave our families behind and go overseas to do what is asked of us. A lot of our brigade is getting deployed and I thin what you all are doing is great. I would like to share the photos not only from our group but other groups that will be passing through New Hampshire on there way over here in Afghanistan, with your permission, to the families back home via our Facebook page and our internal command television in our brigade. Please let me know if that is something that I am able to do. I know it will mean a lot to the families and the Soldiers.

Our flight was 4-20-18 #2 (but we would love to include the previous flight that took off the week prior and also all of our flights that followed and will be following (unsure of the dates for those however, our 4th ID patch gives us away.

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to hearing from you. Very Respectfully, SSG Chris P.

Hello, I was on a flight returning from deployment and we came through New Hampshire and were welcomed by the Pease Greeters. I was hoping to get the link for the photos from that morning, Friday April 6th. Thank you all for the wonderful reception!          My name is SGT.John G.. I am writing to let you know that I have received two care packages. We are all extremely appreciative and grateful for the support you have shown us and continue to show. We will enjoy them tremendously. We do have females in our unit. There are 8 females total. I’m sure they will be very to know they are being thought of. I hope you have a great day. GOD Bless. A grateful soldier.

Thank you for the warm greeting and appreciate the generosity shared by all the volunteers of your organization. As a DoD civilian, serving the soldiers, I have never felt so honored and experienced so an awesome greeting, 3-23-18. I was very humbled by the experience :-) and I thank you very much!

You have provided me a card to request the free secure link for all photos taken at Portsmouth, NH.

Thank you very kindly, Maria S.

I received the care packages today and boy was that a lot of good stuff. I have been sharing with the soldiers here and I want to send you a Thank you from all of us.

What your group does for our deployed personel is awesome, everyone found something they needed or wanted in the boxes.

I only wish I could send pictures of them but the location we are at has a very strict policy because of the nature of our mission. Thank you again from all of us. Kenny S.

Good evening,

I was the solitary Air Force dude that redeployed on March 18, 2018, and I'm hoping I could have the link for the photos you guys took that day.

I was very impressed by the welcome home you guys ceremony/party you guys had for us! As an Air Force pilot, every time I come back from the desert has been on my own airplane back to my own base, and while my squadron back home greets us at the plane, they don't hold a candle to how you guys welcomed us back!

Please keep up the good work! Is there a way I can donate to help purchase coffee/donuts/etc for my fellow service members? Thanks, Vinny J

My husband, MAJ David C, sent me your info. He flew in yesterday to Portsmouth,NH for a layover on his way back to Alaska from Afghanistan.

I think what you do is wonderful. I wish I could have been in the states to welcome him home but I’m oversea with our 3 month old baby and couldn’t make the trip to Alaska to greet her him. He will move to our location in a few short weeks. Thank you for greeting the men and woman who have family and friends who can be there for their Soldiers during this special occasion. I am SSG Amanda J from the Public Affairs office for the California Army National Guard. We had the pleasure and amazing honor of stopping in New Hampshire extremely early this morning, around 3 a.m., I believe and was wondering when the photos might be available.

We arrived back to California safe and sound this morning. Thank you so much for the remarkable welcome and departure ceremony. It gave us all a very humbling feeling of gratitude and appreciation for the patriotism and dedication demonstrated by all those that were there and the messages delivered.

Please let me know where I may be able to access the photos. Thank you again!

Aloha Pease Greeters!

I'm just getting back to work from my deployment in Al Udeid. I wanted to take a moment and say a Mahalo to each and every person that came out to greet me at the terminal 25 February 2018.

I was the ONE & ONLY PERSON on the entire aircraft and you all were expecting a group of 200 returning deployers and it was just me that stepped out. This could have been an awkward or even disappointing occurrence to the Pease Greeters but instead I was overwhelmed by the warmth and support overflowing from each person there. The Veterans, Boy and Girl Scout clubs, the families and smiling faces and big hugs and handshakes meant so much to me. I have served in the military for 12 years now and as a single person, and because I am often landing in places far from home I have never had anyone present to greet me at the airport. The scenes of family members and friends holding signs and waiting in anticipation was never an experience I thought I'd get to have...but that all changed last month when I arrived in your city ;-) I believe this was a blessed event and gift from God to have that experience with you all that day. Thank you.

I shared all of the wonderful pictures with my family and they were so touched and happy to know that even when they can't be present there are people in our community that care for me. You have a lifelong fan and supporter in me. If there is ever anything I can do to help your organization please don't hesitate to let me know.

Sincerely, Candice W. , TSgt. USAF

Hello i just wanted to say how awesome the ceremony and all the things that all of you did for us today was. It really meant a lot to me to have the opportunity to shake the hands and meet some veterans and also some amazing patriotic Americans. I did not expect anything like that, but it really was nice of you folks.

my name is Rhyan Hester and the flight date was today 3-18-18..I would love to see the pics that were taken.

thank you again for what y'all do for us. SSG Rhyan H.

I just wanted you to know that two of your packages arrived today here in Al Dahfra. Thank you very much! We all enjoy getting packages and rummaging through the goodies. Our rotation is winding down. Most of us are between 30-40 days from leaving. The temperature is starting to ramp up here (it was 96 today) so if you will be continuing to send packages you might want to include sunscreen and skin creams. Aloa Vera, perhaps. I must say one of everyone's favorite thing to do is read the cards and letters that come with the package. They are so fun to read! I wish I could answer them all, but just so they know that they are being read.

Thank you again for all you do for the troops. I don't know if I will be passing through on the way home just yet, but if we do I'll look for you. Once last item before I forget......Our flight came through on Oct 15th, 2017. Would you still happen to have the picture you took of our group? If so, please send . It was sent to me but I believe I accidentally deleted it.

Take care, and God Bless you and your greeters. TSGT. Daniel V, AIR FORCE

First let me say thank you for all you have done and are doing for the Soldiers! Your selfless act is truly appreciated! I am looking for photos of my unit when we left and returned. I found your cards the other day when I was going through a few things and wanted to reach out. We came through on 04JUN16 #1 and back on 28FEB17 #1. Once again thank you so much!!! Marie

Hello! My name is Deirdre and I am the mom of one of the soldiers who came in this morning, 3-6-18........ I'm writing for the link to the photos from today, but also to say thank you for everything you do. My son and I were both touched by the dedication and efforts of the Pease Greeters. You were all so kind and it was really touching for me to see my son and his fellow soldiers welcomed back with such love and appreciation. I am grateful that I was able to be there to see him back on American soil for the first time in 9 months, and also grateful to all of you for the kindness you showed us and the efforts you put into making their homecoming a warm, welcoming one. You were all just wonderful!

Thank you for greeting our soldiers and making them have a good time. They all look so young, and proud to have on the soldiers uniform. God Bless them every one...and each of you for blessing our boys/girls. The chaplain is my son. His father was a preacher, and I love this profession that God has called Mickey into. My prayer is that he would be a wonderful example and the man younger men want to go to for guidance in a closer walk with our Lord. Linda B PS (I was able to down load several photos of my son as well as the video of him leading the group in prayer. Thank you again for being where this mom could not be!) Linda B. 3-4-18 # 2

Hello! My son was on today's flight and emailed me a picture of a card to get some photos.

His name is Pfc Elam E, flight date 3-4-18 #2.

Thank you so much for all you do for our soldiers! It helps the morale of both them and their families so much! Sincerely, Kurt and Pam E.

Thank you again for greeting my brother, Captain Todd L. and the members of the Kansas 635th on March 4th. It will be a couple more weeks before they arrive home but we were thrilled to see the pictures you took and the wonderful welcome reception you gave these amazing men and women who have been away from home for the last 10 months. My brother, usually very reserved was overwhelmed by the welcome, so thank you. I would like to make a contribution. To whom should I make the check payable and what is the mailing address? Thanks again keep up the wonderful work. Michelle

My husband, SPC Matthew D told me I could email you to request photos from his flight on March 1st. I would love to see them! He told me all about your organization and I was so amazed and touched by the outstanding service you all provide for our heroes! Thank you guys so much for making our soldiers’ send off so special. And also, I would like to personally thank our veterans for all of YOUR service as well. I know our family certainly appreciates it.

Thank you all, Samantha D.

2-27-18-----Letter received from a Brigadier General in Kuwait........Dear Stateside Supporters, Pease Greeters, I want to personally thank you for your tremendous support to the Military personnel under my command, particularly the kind and thoughtful donation of Care Packages & Valentines. A soldier who is reassured that he or she is remembered by those back home ensures increased morale and renewed commitment to an important mission. Our Soldiers serve this great nation of ours--one made even greater by your team's humble reflection and support.. Thank you again, for your thoughtfulness and I wish you all the best,

Sincerely John.....Commanding General, US ARMY---------NOTE from JoAnne: one of his LT COL's is from HAMPTON, NH, and her MOM was a Pease Greeter, what a small world we live in.

Dear Pease Greeters,

Thank you so much for sharing your photos of my sons first leg of his journey, Feb 19 th ! It made me feel a little closer on this long journey. (And a bit more comfortable seeing my son’s handsome smile and face!) I will send you his APO info as soon as I get it. (They made it safely to Germany)

Thank you for all you do, I truly believe it is important to honor our troops, for without them I would have no freedom. Thank you again for all that you do. It is much appreciated! Michele

♥️♥️♥️♥️Good morning – Thank you very much for the Valentine’s Day care package. It truly made us feel good and we do love our Lindt chocolate. We are very isolated here and the food is okay but the chocolate helps a lot with a smile on our face.

The Valentine’s Day cards we appreciate from the children. I have put many up on our board at work. It warms our heart to see the Valentine wishes from the children every day!

Thank you for all the prayers! Take care, Roger

Thank You so much for the pictures from 4-10-15, was not sure you still had them, and everything you do. Please know that all of your efforts are truly appreciated. Thanks again for everything. We love you guys!!!

Most Humbly, David

Pease Greeters - First, I want to Thank all of you for what you do and let you know that my family and I appreciate your organization and communities support! I have met some true HERO's passing through Portsmouth on many different occasions. I came through there January 20 (early morning)( 1-19 ?? on my way to Kuwait and then other places. Please allow me access to the photos so I can share with my family. Once again thank you and know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as well. Thank you, CW2 Jeff Crum

Looking forward to seeing pictures. Guess I need the dropbox link.

Thank you for doing this service for our soldiers.

And for their families.

May God continue to bless you. With much respect and Christian Fellowship

First, I’d like to thank you all for your hospitality and love shown as we passed through New Hampshire today. I’d like to request the secure link for the photos from February 16th.

Again thanks for everything and look forward to passing through this way again!

LTC Sabrina Thweatt, 1st Medical Brigade

My name is SGT. Green, John J. I deploying with the 441st EN CO. I was very impressed with all the support and patriotism that the Pease Greeters displayed. I hope and pray that the rest of the country can follow your example. I look forward to seeing the pictures and videos. Thank you again.

VALENTINES, I gave out the valentines to the crew today and I was amazed at their reaction! I thought it was really great and I knew they would be happy to get them, but I had no idea that the reaction I saw on their faces would be so positive.

Several of them immediately asked if they could write back so I provided the return address.

I think they were very touched when I told them how the Pease Greeters met 265 flights last year at all times of the day and night.

You know how I feel about your organization and now there are others that know about you as well.

Hope you're having an excellent valentine's day. Please know how much your valentines were appreciated here! Truly, they make an incredible difference.

B COL.TIM......

Thank you,

The pictures were great and I even found myself in a few of them. I come from a military family with my Wife, Son, Father, Brothers and Grandfather all serving in several branches of the military.

What groups like yours and the people around the nation that support us warms my heart and makes what we do a little easier.

My wife and kids want to send you thanks also, and I hope one day to pay this forward and support the military and their families as you do.

Thank you again for the warm welcome and wonderful gifts and snacks. I was greated at the Airport by Pease Greeters on the 12th of January 2018.

I will be deployed until the end of September 2018 if all goes well. Kenny

Flight date 1-12-18---Contractor-Lockheed Martin supporting the Army.

This was a great experience for me, your kindness and generosity is something we do not see often.

Thank you again for all you do. Kenny

Received a care package from the Pease Greeters. Thank you from myself and the numerous troops here that raided the box.

The few items left will be added to our Chaplain's supply section. He collects care package boxes, sorts the items, and has them available to all the troops on the compound (a couple hundred men and women). Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth

______________________________________________________________________Good morning, I was wondering if I could get the link for our flight that came through on 1/26/2018. This was my second time coming through your facility, and just wanted to let you know that it was an excellent experience, just like the first time. We appreciate the hospitality and just wanted to thank you for everything.

Until next time....Jason O.

I read all of the kids greeting cards. Tell them I said thank you so much and we love them for doing that. I saw the greeting cards from Spalding High School as well. Kids are great and fantastic imaginations.

Tell them all Happy Valentines Day to them and their families. Thank you for all you do and the kids of our future. My brother Raymond lives in Milford NH also as I was born and raised in New England in Leominster MA.

Love ,Jeff in Afghanistan,

We use all of the blankets you send us. We use the hats too. Bagram gets snow and is higher elevation. One of the FOBs is also cold and 8000 feet above sea level.

I read all the Valentine Days greetings from the kids.

Tell them we love them and their kind words were nice and it was good to hear from them. That’s the future of our generation.

Thanks to all, Love Jeff in the desert

To all you wonderful folks from Pease NH. I can’t say thank you enough. You were all wonderful. Not only did you send me and my guys off with a smile you welcomed us back to the good ol’ USA with one just as big.

What you do for all the deployment service men and women is much appreciated.

I am a contractor working on a DoD program and have for years been traveling thru both Pease and Bangor Maine. You guys do it right. I just wanted to once again say thank you.

My departure flight date was 9-15-17 would you please send me the Secure Link for the photos?

Thanks again, Stewy,

Thank you so much for the warm welcome back from my deployment. I‎t

made the long couple days of traveling a lot easier. I appreciate

everything you do for our Soldiers and our nation. It’s acts like this

that restore hope during a time so many find themselves lost in social

media and the negativity in the world. Please continue inspiring our

citizens to carry a piece of their flag, their history, their nation

with them in everything they do.

I would like to share the photos from my arrival with my family and

share this memory with them. 11-10-17 #1---Thank you. Vincent F.

Thank you again for the warm welcome and send off. I’ve never experience such a heartfelt gesture before deploying in my 23 years of service. I will be in Iraq for the next year and will try to send pictures of our service members for your collection. Again Thank you for your continued support to our country and our Nation’s Warriors!

CMSgt Robert T. Troop Commander Flight 1-23-18

I can't possibly tell you how much the Pease Greeters mean to me. It really was an emotional event when I got off that plane. I can hardly tell the story around here without getting choked up (at least a little).

It is just so incredible that we have people that will go so far out of their way to show their love for servicemembers.

I truly, truly appreciate everything you do and I have loved getting your messages and reading your facebook posts.

Please know how much what you do means not just to me, but also to other Soldiers. All of us fall short in showing our true feelings and I'm definitely one of those people who do not always show how truly grateful I am.

So what I'm trying to say is... You Rock !!! You All make this world a far better place.

Thanks, B Col. Tim S.

Good morning, I was cleaning out my old footlocker and found one of the cards that you guy use to hand out once we returned home. The flight date was 9-21-14, I am a military veteran and had several other deployments that I do not have the card for. Thank you guys for what you do and I look forward to seeing those pictures. Kind regards, Jairo R

hello MR. and MRS. Schottler, I am SFC David E and was wondering if you can still send me the pictures from flight 1-1-18, I would like to personally thank you and all the personnel who took the time on new years day to go and greet all of us, you guys do such an amazing job and I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. You guys make coming back home very special and it touches so many more lives than just the ones getting off the aircraft.

Thank you for your time and attention may god bless you and all your awesome personnel

Good afternoon, My son deployed yesterday Jan 13, and said that if I was to email, you would send me the pictures from the airport ceremony? I can’t even begin to tell you how much it means to us moms that these ceremonies happen! We can’t always be there to say goodbye to our boys but knowing that there are still those that appreciate what they are doing makes me feel so much better. I have 2 sons and they are both Marines. One is in Japan and the one that left yesterday is off to Afghanistan. It will be over a year until I can hug either of them again. You and the wonderful ceremonies help my heart!

Thank you for all of your services! I am so proud to be a military family!! Stephanie C

Thank you for the link, I will definitely share the it with others. 11-7-17

Again, I thank you all for what you do, trust me, it is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed. I can assure you, the thing soldiers were talking about on the plane ride to Ft Drum was how great it was to meet and speak with all of you. It’s people like you that make our job/service extremely easy and worthwhile! Thank you for everything!

I want you and your husband to know that a guy down in Georgia is so very thankful for all that YOU GUYS and Pease Greeters do for our great country! So many people are silently thankful to all of you. Flying back in to the USA meant so much to me and I'm certain thousands of others are thankful and feel so welcome by your groups actions. For that I say – THANK YOU!

The reception that you guys do for our Men and Women in Uniform and DOD and Civilian means the world to all of us! It makes what we are doing that much more important. It obviously did to me merely by these emails and you and your husband’s time looking for my picture of which I am so so very proud – it makeSmy prior military service as well as my DOD service that much more special!

You all are a very special group and I hope that one day I too can provide for our military the way you all have. I told a friend that you guys (although Yankees – LOL, and I do mean this with the greatest of respect) gave us Southerners a run for our money with regards to Northern Hospitality vs Southern Hospitality! I went on and on about how cool it was to have had the privilege to have participated in this event.

I pray God’s blessings on you all and our troops and nation in the upcoming new year – Happy New Year and God Bless!!! Sincerely R---Atlanta, GA

I just wanted to say "Thank You" for the care packages that are being sent. I just returned from R&R and found that I had 2. You guys are the best!! There are a lot of items that are just not available over here, and the only way to get some needed items is to order them and then wait, and wait , and wait. So I assure you that I and the rest of the ladies on the second floor truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and efforts. And of course the cookies, nuts, candy etc. are loved, even though we might not need those items as much . . . LOL Sincerely, Barbara D.

Dear Pease Greeters, Good evening. I’m interested in viewing the redeployment photographs from the flight on 15 May 2017. I’d also like to thank you very much for you unwavering support to the Armed Services, DoD Contractors, DA Civilians, and Service Members! What you do is a blessing to Service Members and is greatly appreciated. For most of us your ceremony is the only formal recognition that we’ll receive for our Service overseas. Thank you for your generosity and hospitality. God Bless! -1SG(P) Beals

March 2017, Hawkeye (Sporting News)

                                                Wayne Stevens

                          Police Officer Newmarket, NH

Allow me an opportunity to express how pleased I am with the Hunters in the New Hampshire Seacoast area, and more specifically, within the Newmarket and Epping area. I can't thank these hunters enough.

Last year, my brother-in-law, who serves in the military, was deployed to the Middle East. My wife was constantly, at least every other week, sending him care packages.

Low and behold, venison jerky has become a big hit amongst the troops and requests for more jerky were coming in. I eventually ran out of the deer hamburger that is used to make the jerky; by the time I ran out of deer hamburger, my brother-in-law already had orders to return home. I was not worried about my depleted supply of deer hamburger, and I thought my days of making venison jerky were OVER !!

Upon his return, I began talking with a few veterans who really enjoyed the jerky. It makes me think it would be a nice gesture to continue sending the jerky to our military troops who serve our country, overseas. The only problem I had was being completely out of deer meat and the next deer season had not yet started. Being a hunter myself, I know that hunters are very generous people and usually have deer in there freezers from previous years, giving me the idea to ask hunters to donate few pounds of deer hamburger from their harvest during the deer season.

With the help from a local butcher in Newmarket and Carl West ( a veteran himself) from F & F Butcher shop in Epping, I places signs in the 2 butcher shops asking hunters to donate deer hamburger. The support was unbelievable !!! Due to lack of freezer space, I had a stretch of 2 weeks in which I had to constantly make jerky in order to make space for the overwhelming supply of incoming meat !

To date I have sent approximately 60 pounds of jerky. I continue to make it and send it overseas. Five pounds of hamburger makes one batch of jerky. I then vacuum seal it, then take it to JoAnne Schottler, the Care Package Coordinator for Pease Greeters, who sends it to the troops.

I constantly receive emails from our troops overseas telling me how great the jerky is and thanking me for making the jerky. I predict that in about 2 months, I will be out of hamburger and will have to wait until next deer season to start the process again. UNLESS you would like to donate either deer hamburger or the vacuum seal 8 X 12 bags.

I you wish to be involved in the worthwhile project, please contact me,

Wayne Stevens at (603-292-7971) or email me at [email protected]

I close by thanking the many hunters who donated to this cause. We have military troops and veterans overseas fighting for our country and I am very thankful and proud that the hunters in New Hampshire stepped up to make this happen, bringing a little bit of the New Hampshire woods to the Middle East.

     Thank you ALL very much.

TROOPS RECEPTION PICTURES---we have created a NEW email for the troops and their families to obtain the FREE pictures, Please, if they ask, it is now [email protected], THANK YOU ALL.
